Complaints about “shabby” grass cutting carried out by Nottinghamshire County Council have led to the responsibility being passed back to three district councils.
Grass cutting used to be handled by local councils but was taken over by Notts County Council in 2012.
However, the authority admitted there were problems – and have now agreed that Ashfield, Broxtowe and Mansfield councils will cut their own verges and lawns again.
