Another Blue Plaque for Bramcote

There will be an unveiling of a blue plaque to the Smith Banking family on Wednesday 24th April at 3.00pm at the top of Moss Drive. The Smith’s lived in the now demolished Bramcote Hall and ran Smith’s Bank in Nottingham. The bank premises still exist and form the Smith’s Branch of the Natwest in the Market Square. The plaque will be installed on the right hand gatepost of Bramcote Hall which is now the entrance to the Lawns on Moss Drive.  There will be refreshments after at the White Lion where Richard Upton will displaying his model of the Hall.
