Wendy Hancock who lives in Bramcote is a performer, lecturer, teacher and writer on music and related subjects and plays with Musica Donum Dei. She has circulated details of Early Music Concerts in the East Midlands:

‘Britannia Jubilans’, A programme of English music with a mood of celebration! We include music both courtly –songs by Dowland, Morley, Campion and Purcell, ‘Orpheus with his lute’ by Chilcott, a flute sonata by Handel – and folksy- Shakespearean and Playford dances with hurdy-gurdy.

‘A Merry Wassail’: Music from Christmas Past at Holme Pierrepont Hall, Radcliffe-on-Trent, Nottingham, NG12 2LD.
Programme to include the Concerto Pastorale by Johann Christoph Pez, the Christmas Symphony by Schiassi, and carols including Puer natus in Bethlehem, the Gloucestershire Wassail, The Boar’s Head, O du fröhliche and a medley of Christmas dances by Playford.
